Fun game with lots of different weapons and powers to combine and experiment with. I like the music, too.

I just wish there were more unlockables, since I'm pretty sure I unlocked everything I could in the first hour or two.

Nice! I'm a picky gamer, but a good oldschool game always makes me happy. This makes me think of rRootage mixed with Robotron, and I love both of those games. Damn I'd love to see this ported to OpenDingux and my RG350!!

Hey, this was really fun! I found it via the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality. I actually just started a youtube channel for playing through all those  games and this was the second one we picked. It was really cool! Here's the video:

Is this game still in development or is it not getting any more updates? My thoughts:

  • Fork is fascinating, probably the most interesting side power that I've seen in a roguelite shooter as of late!
  • Null Pulse is awkward to have only one sound effect for its four shots
  • The first boss's remains should show a tutorial popup telling you you can pick up the items; I completely missed them because the popup only shows when you stop moving (and I thought they were loot so that they'd auto-pick-up). Alternatively, the popup text could be configured to show when you pass over stuff, even if you don't actually stop moving.
  • It just needs a lot more effects/media. The game feels incomplete because of lack of audio, muzzle flashes, etc. There is a ton of potential but it seems like an alpha or beta that I'm playing so far.

I'm not currently working on adding new content at this time, but I won't say never.

Thank you for the feedback

Fantastic!

If you kill a boss before the second one spawns it seems to break the level so you can't leave. Otherwise I love the game.

Sorry about that. This should be fixed in the latest patch.

If you manually downloaded the zip file, you'll have to re-download and extract the zip file to get the update. (running through the itch.io app should automatically pull the update by default)

Thanks for playing!

I guess i collected too many and the game deleted all of my overclocks. I was then instantly killed by the next boss.

It seems that it can multiply itself sometimes....

Somethin' ain't quite right here....

Yeah... that's not supposed to happen. That sounds like a fun bug until it stopped, though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I might have fixed this with the latest patch. Not sure.

Thanks for the feedback!

I just got stuck in a level because I killed the boss too fast...

R.I.P. Best Run So Far

Bummer :(

It looks like you had to have 1) the right weapons to pull that off 2) were within a certain range of levels and 3) get a specific type of boss spawn. I pushed a new build to safeguard against this in future, so I'm fairly confident you won't run into that again.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anytime, I actually really love this game and I'm glad I got the chance to play it, will play it tons more. Specifically, it was the short range, somewhat wide laser, I think I had it on both Primary and Secondary and fired as fast as possible on the boss.

The menu gets cut off at the bottom in 1600×900 and I can't scroll down with the scroll wheel to show the rest (the line with the word "Graphics" only displays the top half of its text).

I also don't understand what the keyboard graphic is for in the top-right corner of the ship selection box before starting a round, as I can't seem to interact with it on any level.

I just pushed a fix for the options screen so that menu will scroll if it's cut off.

The game supports both controller and mouse/keyboard and it tracks the control method for high scores for a run, so that icon just indicates the control method for the run. I suppose it doesn't make sense if you don't have any supported controllers plugged in, so I also hid it in that case and added a tooltip when it's visible.

Thanks for the feedback!
